What is the JAPAN 47 GO website?

JAPAN 47 GO” is a tourism information website built based on the ‘National Tourism Information Database,’ which holds 110,000 pieces of information on tourism throughout Japan. It is operated by the Japan Association for Tourism Promotion, a public interest incorporated association that aims to promote and develop domestic travel through the creation of attractive tourist destinations, in cooperation with local governments and tourism associations nationwide.

The information is input directly by tourism officials (and in some cases by the Japan Tourism Promotion Association) from 47 prefectures and 1,741 cities, wards, towns, and villages, and centralizes information on tourist spots, seasonal information, events, activities, model courses, and sightseeing guides throughout Japan. In the future, we plan to enhance the type, quantity, and accuracy of the information provided to make it even more reliable and fresh.
