Nariaiji temple is located on the mountainside overlooking Amanohashidate, one of ”Japan's Three Most Scenic Views”. It is the 28th temple of the Saigoku pilgrimage and always has visitors. In autumn, the area around the five-story pagoda bursts into briliant autumn colors, creating a scene like a painting. From May to June, the fresh green leaves are also popular among locals.
