Osawa Sakura Festa

Along the banks of the Naka River in the Osawa district, a large cherry tree over 80 years old blooms magnificently, its blossoms seeming to cover the river's surface. During the season from late March to early April, the “Osawa Cherry Blossom Festival” is held. This elegant event features hundreds of bamboo strips inscribed with haiku poems submitted from across the nation, which are then adorned on the cherry tree's branches.
