Minase River flows at the bottom of the deep V-shaped gorge creating waterfalls and fast flowing rapids. There are large hot spring fountains and waterfalls of various sizes and in the red and yellow valley foliage, the roaring sound and the white steam from the large waterfall are spectacularly beautiful. It is equipped with walking trails and there are many bathers and hikers too. Also, this area is a hot springs area called the Oyasu-kyo Onsen. A soak in the hot spring waters also brings relief from the fatigue of the trip.
