■ Wooden standing statue of Buddha A national treasure sculpture of the Northern Soong Dynasty in Seiryo-ji Temple (Saga Shakado). It is a 162-cm-high statue enshrined in the main hall and is called 'Saga no Buddha.' In 985, Chonen Shonin copied it in Soong and brought it back to Japan, and the womb contained the five organs of silk delivered when it was copied. It is characterized by its foreign appearance.
