Beppu City Traditional Bamboo Crafts is Oita Prefecture's only officially registered traditional handicraft producer. With a wide variety of items exhibited, the Beppu City Traditional Bamboo Crafts Center presents a comprehensive history and technique explanation for this special art. The bamboo crafts of Beppu are very intricate and uniquely designed. They are highly praised today for their artistic value both domestically and internationally. Certain items such as their vases are currently available in various parts of the world. The Center features a workshop for crafting bamboo bells, beverage coasters, and flower baskets.
