About 250 years ago, wax trees were planted as raw materials for candles. These rows of sumac trees, designated as a natural monument by the prefecture in May 1964, stretch approximately 1.2 km from north to south, with about 200 trees at present. It has also been selected as one of the “100 New Japan Roadside Tree Views.”
