This cherry tree is located on the site of former Hojobo. The tree is 6.9 meter in circumference and 21 meters in height. The branches of the tree are huge stretching 26 meters to the north, south, east and west. The tree is 300 years old. It looks old with its stem covered in moss up to a height of 15m from the ground and with the Zelkova tree being parasitic on it. Its appearance indeed reminds the viewer of an old tree. The branches of the tree, with the cherry blossoms in full bloom, stretch above the Hamochi River offering spectacular views to the visitors in spring. * The branch on the left side of the tree, as seen from the river, broke off in 2022.
