Rekifune River Clear Stream Koinobori

This is a spring tradition in Taiki. Many koinobori (carp-shaped streamers) are hanged accross the river from late April to early May every year. The event was first held in 1991 with the donation of used koinobori by residents of Taiki. Since then, the event has been held annually, and in recent years, many koinobori have been donated by many people not only from Taiki but also outside of the town. Since 2002, small-sized koinobori have been placed along the riverbed as a photo spot for children. You should take a photo of the colorful koinobori and clear blue river.
