Golden Week

This festival celebrates the achievements of Hirayama Kakuzaemon, the town magistrate who opened Onomichi Port. It has been held since 1935 in hopes of the development of Onomichi. The festival is centered around the creative dance contest "Eejan SANSA-Gari," which takes place over two days, and various other events are held, including stage events and a parade in the shopping district. As a festival that represents Onomichi, the entire city is enveloped in a festive atmosphere. Dates: April 26, 2025 - April 27, 2025 (Saturday and Sunday) Locations: Grassy area in front of the station, Hondori Shopping Street, Kaigandori, Community Center Square, etc.
