It is said that this is the place where the young Ota Dokan, while out falcon hunting, was caught in a sudden rain shower and stopped to borrow a straw raincoat. Cultural Property: Prefecturally Designated Historic Site Every year from April through May, some 3,000 golden-yellow Japanese buttercups, swaying in the spring breeze, combine with the historic waterwheel house to create an atmosphere of poetic charm.
