The Tako Gion Festival, held every year on July 25th and 26th, is a cherished tradition dating back over 200 years to the Edo period. The festival features a vibrant parade of floats weaving through the town, accompanied by lively music and enthusiastic cheers. The Shiikago dance of Tako, performed as a prayer for bountiful harvests and good health, has been recognized as an Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Chiba Prefecture
