The row of cherry trees at Asuwa River is 2.2 kilometers long and forms a tunnel of cherry blossoms. It has also been chosen as one of the Japan’s 100 most famous places for viewing cherry blossoms. In particular, the rows of cherry trees along the Asuwa River are the third closest location to a Shinkansen station in Japan among the Japan’s 100 most famous places for viewing cherry blossoms; visitors can get there within ten minutes on foot from the Shinkansen station. The view of the illuminated cherry blossoms at night is fantastic, too.
