Muroran Curry Ramen

Each ramen shop owner thought long and hard about which curry soup would go best with the ramen, and it became a taste for the common people nurtured by the unique climate of Muroran, The city of steel. This taste creates a delicious harmony with Hokkaido's distinctive curly noodles, roast pork, varios vegetables and seaweed. Of the approximately 50 ramen shops in the city, 60% serve curry ramen. In 2006, the Muroran Curry Ramen Association was established. The assosiation aims to spread the deliciousness of Muroran curry ramen from Muroran to the rest of Hokkaido and the rest of the country, and to make it the fourth taste of Hokkaido after Sapporo's miso, Hakodate's salt, and Asahikawa's soy sauce.
