Whisky is once again making headlines. Here, we carefully introduce the steps involved in its production, with the added enjoyment of tastings! At the birthplace of Japanese whisky, the Suntory Yamazaki Distillery, many of Japan’s most iconic whiskies have been produced since construction began in 1923. At the “Yamazaki Whisky Museum,” you can experience the history of Suntory from its founding days and trace the journey of Suntory whisky through various exhibits. You can also enjoy the diverse appeal of whisky by sampling at the tasting counter (for a fee) or shopping at the museum shop. ※Reservations are required for entry (even if you are only visiting the Yamazaki Whisky Museum, advance reservation is necessary. Please check the Suntory Yamazaki Distillery website for details). 【Fees】 Yamazaki Distillery Tour: Paid, reservation required. Earphone guides for the production process are available in English, Chinese, and French (please confirm by phone before your visit). Yamazaki Whisky Museum visit: Free (does not include a tour of the production process)
