Notes & Remarks
Fujihana Festival The flowering time of the wisteria of Empress Sadaaki's history and the wisteria dedicated to the old public house will be different from the festival day depending on the climate. In addition, since the festival is held in the main shrine, general tours are limited to a small part immediately after the start of the festival. Kasuga Festival On the second Sunday of October, the Kasuga Festival portable shrine will be held. From the day before, many stalls line up near the shrine, and on both days a festival parade will be held, so it is a large-scale festival that traffic restrictions will be enforced on the surrounding roads. In particular, the mikoshi transfer that takes place on Sunday afternoon is the largest, and the gorgeous two mikoshis on which Kasuga Ogami and Wakamiya Ogami ride, led by the Emperor's Ishin Army Orchestra, five swords, horses, Yaotome, Chigo, and the sacred treasure rows of thousands of rows will cruise around the Saiin area. During the cruise, the Nishioji Shijo intersection was closed, and in addition to the `` Tomoe Around '' where swords and mikoshi go around the intersection, Yaotome performed the old-fashioned `` Gozen Kagura '', and around 18:00, while the messenger sent from Nara Kasuga Taisha Shrine welcomes the mikoshi, two mikoshi return to the shrine and go around the shrine three times. This is the famous "Sain's worship hall" and is one of the best festivals in Kyoto City. ■ Nagiishi (commonly known as Fuseki-san) It is located on the west side of the main shrine in front of the shrine, Kanrai-jinja Shrine, and it is also called 'Fuseki' because he stroked this stone to pray for travel safety, and stroked the affected area with his hand when he was sick, praying for the recovery of health.
