A special turmulus called Yosumi-tosshutsu Zenpo-koho-gata (square front, square back tomb mound covered with a heap of earth, whose four corners protrude outward) from the end of the Yayoi Period (third century). The tomb is important as it demonstrates the role of the local community before the emergence of the Kofun Period and exchange of Kibi and Izumo.
