The festival will be held for two days from July 25 to 26, with the fireworks display being held only on July 26. Fireworks are launched from Aikawabeachpark facing towards Aikawa Bay. It is one of Sado’s three major festivals and is also the first summer festival held in this area. This festival is held for the relaxation of miners to pray for the stability and prosperity of Sado Mine. Okesa Nagashi is performed by groups from both within and outside the town.
