Akinomiya Onsen-kyo is the oldest hot spring village in the prefecture with a hidden hot spring inn. The autumn foliage season is particularly picturesque, allowing visitors a moment of healing amidst the colorful nature. The Sensyu Line is located approximately halfway between Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture and Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture on National Route 108, offering views of untouched primeval forests from both the Akita and Miyagi Prefecture sides.
