About 300 cherry trees such as Yoshino cherry, weeping cherry trees, and other cherry trees blossom around the castle and its moat. Visitors can enjoy viewing cherry blossoms with the snow-covered Northern Alps in the background and, at night, view the illuminated Matsumoto Castle together with cherry blossoms.
