The Mino Festivals is held each April as the spring celebration of Hachiman Shrine, continuing traditions from the Edo period. Saturday: The town comes alive with the Hana-Mikoshi parade- portable shrines decorated with handmade washi-paper cherry blossoms crafted by locals in winter. Carriers chant "Oisa! Oisa!" as they move through the streets.
Sunday: Traditional floats and costumed figures parade from the historic Udatsu-lined streets to the shrine. Floats from the Edo and Meiji eras, along with characters from folk tales like Urashima Taro and Hanasaka Jiisan, gather at the shrine approach, creating a stunning and nostalgic scene.
