■ The area is a habitat for bears in the mountains, so when climbing, make sure to climb while making a sound with a bear bell or portable radio, tell the sign of people to the bear and avoid encounters. ■ There is a mountain climbing report submission post in the parking lot. The climbing notice post has a climbing (bottom) mountain report form and writing utensils, and can be filled out on the entry stand provided at the post. ※ Kitanomatadake climbing requires full-fledged mountain climbing equipment and a mountain climbing notice. Please contact the Gifu Prefectural Police Hida Police Station (TEL: 0577-73-0110) for details on submitting a mountain climbing report. (Please submit the mountain climbing report to the local mountain climbing post, Hida police station (in Furukawa-cho, Hida-shi), Hida police station Kamioka police box (in Kamioka-cho, Hida-shi), etc.) ※ Because the neighborhood is a mountainous area, bears and monkeys may be witnessed, but if you see it, please do not approach unnecessarily or feed.

- From the Hida City Kamioka Promotion Office (Kamiokacho City Area), turn left about 250m from Komagomebashi in Kamiho-cho, Takayama City on National Route 471 and proceed along a large-scale forest road toward Yamanomura. Approximately 37 km (60 minutes) by car from the Kamioka Promotion Office in Hida City to the parking lot in front of the Hietsu Tunnel on the border of Toyama Prefecture, which is the entrance to the mountain trail. In addition, large-scale forest roads will be closed during winter.

- ■ The parking lot at the entrance is free. There is no parking manager, so please use it after paying careful attention to safety management in the parking lot. ■ During the period from June to October, a simple toilet is installed in the parking lot.
