The Bank of Japan is the central bank of Japan, established in 1882. It is situated on the former site of the Kinza (the Edo-period gold mint). The Main Building, completed in 1896, is a significant example of authentic Western-style architecture from the Meiji era and has been designated as a National Important Cultural Property.
Visitors can explore the bank through two different formats:
In-Person Tours (Real): A guided walk through the historic Main Building.
Reservation Site: https://www5.revn.jp/bojtour/
Online Tours ("BOJ from Home"): A virtual exploration of the bank.
