The Bakuya Tumulus on the northwestern edge of Koryo-cho is a circular mound constructed in the latter half of the Kofun Period. Many horse fittings were discovered here during a survey done in 1983, and it is quite likely that it is a nariai (tomb with coffins laid together) housing the grave of the first son of Emperor Bidatsu (6 centruy), Oshisakanohiko no Oe no Oji. It is the only burial chamber which can be entered for research purposes in Koryo-cho.
