Heian-jingu Shrine

Always open ■ Daigokuden It is an important cultural property of the country in Heian-jingu Shrine. It is located just north of Otenmon gate, on the south side of the main shrine. 30m in front of the building, the roof of the Irimoya-zukuri style is decorated with blue tiles and has a golden shibi (shibi) on both ends of the building. It imitates Daigokuden, the main hall of Daidairi Chodo-in Temple in Heian-kyo. "Sakura on the left side" and "Tachibana on the right side" are arranged on the left and right side of the front yard, and a slope column called Ryuo Dan is set up and divided up and down. Always open ■ Shin-en Garden The garden of Heian Jingu Shrine is the seventh generation Jihee Ogawa garden in 1895. It consists of four sacred gardens, south, west, middle, east, and each has a different taste. The seasonal flowers such as double red weeping cherry blossoms and irises are also wonderful.
