The large white wisteria at Hachioji-machi is more than 350 years old, with a trunk circumference of 7 meters and branches stretching 20 to 30 meters. Long white clusters of beautiful flowers bloom countless times from its many branches. When the white wisteria are at their best, tea ceremonies are held amidst the sweet fragrance of the flowers, which is a soothing experience for the soul.
