(Legend of Kintaro location) The shrine was built by the townspeople in 1933 on the site of Sakata Estate, which is said to be the birthplace of Sakata Kintoki (Kintaro), and is lovingly protected by the locals of Nakajima. The shrine is said to bless visitors with safe childbirth and child rearing, as well as good health. The Shichi-Go-San festival is held here every November, and many families visit to pray to Kintaro for their children.
