    Walking up a narrow slope next to the Osaka Sayama Municipal Local Museum, you will find a road signpost that indicates the junction of the Local NishiKoya Highway and Old Amano Highway with the words “Right, Ama-no-yama 2 ri, Left, Kouya 3 ri”. This highway was used in the past as a pilgrimage route to the Kongoji temple on Mt. Amano. Today, the road has been beautifully maintained and the atmosphere of the old highway is gone, but it is still a popular hiking route where visitors can enjoy nature while observing wild birds and taking in the scenic view.
